South Florida will be warm and windy on Thursday, and some showers will be back.  Thursday features clouds, some sun, periods of showers in the east coast metro area, and gusty winds.  A high risk of rip currents remains in place at the Atlantic beaches Thursday through Friday.  Highs on Thursday will be near 80 degrees.

 

Friday will bring a few early east coast showers, followed by a mix of sun, clouds, and showers on the breeze.  Friday’s highs will be in the low 80s.  The final weekend of 2018 will be warm and dry.

Saturday features good sun and a few clouds.  Saturday’s highs will be in the low 80s.

Faith Based Events

Sunday’s forecast includes more of the same — plenty of sun with some clouds.  Sunday’s highs will be in the low 80s.

Good sun and clouds at times are the weather story on Monday.  Highs on Monday will be in the low 80s — and we’ll ring in 2019 with partly clouds skies and temperatures in the low to mid 70s at midnight.

Donna Thomas has studied hurricanes for two decades. She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
