Changes On The Way This Weekend

  In the meantime, Friday features good sun (after some early patchy fog in spots) with a few clouds and showers on the breeze.  Highs on Friday will be in the upper 80s.

Our first, weak front arrives on Saturday, so look for breezy conditions, a mix of sun and clouds, and passing showers with maybe an afternoon storm in spots.  The risk of dangerous rip currents will increase on Saturday and remain through the weekend.  Saturday’s highs will be in the low 80s.

Sunday will feature sunny skies, a brisk ocean breeze, and a few east coast showers.  Sunday’s highs will be in the low 80s.

Faith Based Events

Veterans Day will be sunny, but the east coast metro area will see a gusty breeze and a few quick showers in spots.  Monday’s highs will be in the mid 80s.

Tuesday will be sunny with a few passing showers.  Highs on Tuesday will be in the mid 80s.

But Wednesday will bring the first significant front of the season, along with cooler than normal temperatures.

The tropics remain quiet.

Donna Thomas has studied hurricanes for two decades. She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
