It’s official: Disgraced Fox New founder Roger Ailes fessed up he joined conservative stalwarts like Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter as a full-fledged resident of Palm Beach.
The man who built the cable network into a must-see staple for GOP voters who don’t like their beliefs challenged recently filed a sworn affidavit with the Palm Beach County Clerk alongside his long-suffering much younger wife Elizabeth. It reads that the house at 6 Ocean Lane is “my permanent home,” making him a “bona-fide Florida resident.”
The declaration was made under oath and threat of a maximum five years in prison.
It is likely designed to get the 76-year-old Ailes a homestead exemption and lower his yearly property taxes, which are expected to reach the $500,000-range in 2017.
We broke the story last year: Porky Ailes, who quit the network when employees started making noise about Ailes’ fostering of a sexually charged fraternity-like culture of harassment, secretly plunked down $36 million for the beachfronter in September under the name City National Bank of Florida Trust No. 2401-3263-00.
