Tropical Moisture Lingers Over South Florida

tropical

South Florida will see showers and storms on Friday as tropical moisture from a wave to tropicalour south lingers. Look for passing showers and storms on the ocean breeze, clouds and some brief periods of sun, and highs mostly in the upper 80s.

The tropical moisture will hang around on Saturday, as showers and storms pass through. While periods of rain will be widespread on Saturday, the Gulf coast will see the most activity.

Sunday will feature a more typical September pattern of sun and clouds to start, then afternoon storms developing along the east coast sea breeze and pushing into the interior and Gulf coast. Highs on Sunday will be near 90 degrees.

The pattern will continue on Monday, with afternoon storms developing in western sections of Miami-Dade and Broward, pushing inland, and firing up again along the Gulf coast. Monday’s highs will be around the 90 degree mark.

Faith Based Events

Tuesday will be unsettled, with passing showers and storms throughout South Florida and highs around 90 degrees.

It is forecast to move westward and then northwestward in the central Atlantic — possibly following in the path of Hurricane Gaston.

We’re also watching a wave approaching the Lesser Antilles. We’ll keep an eye on it, even though the National Hurricane Center gives it a low chance of developing over the next 5 days.
