It’s getting downright ugly among the beautiful people.
The battle lines have been drawn in the divorce of socialite Jodi Dickinson from retired Carnival Cruise Line CEO Bob Dickinson.
In a recent filing at the Miami-Dade County courthouse in downtown Miami, Jodi has hinted that she might go after Bob’s famous wine collection.
And Bob’s retaliation, in the form of a counter-petition for divorce that came swiftly, hints that Jodi had more debts than income when the two got hitched in 1988.
One of Miami society’s most visible philanthropic couples, the Dickinsons split in June, according to the paperwork, and have been trading filings since.
While Jodi alleged “irreconcilable differences” when she drew first blood, she’s also asking for alimony.
She is “not employed and is dependent on (Bob) for support,” her original petition reads. “(Bob) is well able to pay alimony … temporary and permanent.”
Jodi also wants to make sure she becomes the beneficiary of a life insurance that Bob is being asked to buy.
There’s her request to get her share from “equal distribution of marital assets,” including half of the value of couple’s mansion in Coral Gables. It’s for sale for $6.2 million.
