Celine Dion was finally able to sell her 5.5 acre Jupiter Island estate, but not before slashing her initial asking price of $72.5 million nearly in half to $38.5 million.
The 13-bedroom, 14-bathroom sprawling 11,000-square-foot mansion where Dion lived with her husband Rene Angelil who died of cancer last year and their three kids, has been purchased by an American buyer, whose identity is being kept under wraps, according to DailyMail.com.
However, the selling agent said the buyer is planning to use the estate as vacation home.
Dion, 48, and Angelil built the oceanfront mansion in 2010 and only lived in it a few years before Angelil was diagnosed with cancer and the house was put on the market.
The house is thoroughly modern, chic and still feels like a beach house.
The estate, clearly inspired by the Bahamas, is comprised of five pavilions: the main house, two four-bedroom guest-homes, a tennis house (with a simulate golf range), and a pool house.
