By Jose Lambiet, GossipExtra.com, forSouthFloridaReporter.com, Sept. 11, 2015 – HOBE SOUND — Like the making of an epic Hollywood movie, the sale of Burt Reynolds Hobe Sound mansion was more than eight years in the making.

But it finally came to fruition over Labor Day Weekend when the star of Deliverance and Smokey and The Bandit signed on the dotted line, according to Martin County court papers.

He got $3.3 million, according to MLS real estate records, a fraction of the $15 million he originally asked for!

FORT LAUDERDALE — Four bidders who had to prove they had $3 million cash in the bank battled for about 30 minutes in a bankruptcy court auction today in Fort Lauderdale to buy the house of 1970s pop icon David Cassidy.

In the end, the lucky buyer got the crib for $1,855,000!

The buyer’s identity won’t be released until a federal judge approves the sale. The hearing is scheduled for next week in Fort Lauderdale.
