Tuesday will bring a bit of sun, lots of clouds, and plenty of showers in the East Coast metro area, while the Gulf Coast will see morning showers and afternoon storms. The Keys will be cloudy with periods of storms. Expect an elevated risk of dangerous rip currents at the Atlantic beaches and minor coastal flooding in the Keys. Tuesday’s highs will be mostly in the mid-80s in the East Coast metro area and the Keys and in the upper 80s along the Gulf Coast.

Thursday’s highs will be mostly in the upper 80s in the East Coast metro area and the Keys and near 90 degrees along the Gulf Coast.
Friday’s forecast calls for a mix of sun, clouds, showers, and some storms. Highs on Friday will be mostly in the upper 80s.
In the tropics, we’re keeping an eye on a wave in the eastern Atlantic that has a
high chance of becoming a depression in the next few days. It’s moving generally to the west-northwest and will be over or near the Lesser Antilles late in the week. Elsewhere, a low pressure system in the northern Gulf is bringing rain to coastal areas from Alabama to Texas, but this feature is not expected to intensify.
