Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson just topped Forbes‘ list of the world’s highest paid actors for 2016.
The Broward resident of Southwest Ranches raked in a staggering $64.5 million last year, more than doubling what he made the previous year.
Not too shabby for a former wrestler!
Last year’s big earnings were from the surprise uber-blockbuster San Andreas. With Fast 8 and the Baywatch movie on the horizon, it wouldn’t be surprising to see The Rock on top again next year.
What did he do to celebrate? Well, according to a video posted to Instagram last night, he took a boys night away from his wife and baby daughter to hang out with his dawg.
No, we meant to say dog. And the poor dog was already passed out!
Another Broward son, Johnny Depp also ranked pretty high, nabbing the number five spot after earning $48 million last year for the latest Pirates of the Caribbean and Alice Through The Looking Glass.
So, he got off pretty easy earlier this month with a $7 million divorce settlement to short-term wife Amber Heard.
Depp took a beating in the press when Heard accused him of physical abuse.
Don’t expect him to break the top ten next year.
