South Florida is breezy and warm on Tuesday. After a warm start with some overnight showers, Tuesday features a mix of sun and clouds, along with passing showers in spots. A high risk of dangerous rip currents remains in place at the Atlantic beaches on Tuesday and throughout the workweek. Highs on Tuesday will be in the mid 80s in Miami-Dade and Broward and in the upper 80s along the Gulf coast and the interior.

Wednesday will bring good sun, some clouds on the breeze, and a few showers, mostly in Broward and points north. Wednesday’s highs will be mostly in the mid 80s (with upper 80s again along the Gulf coast).

Look for a mostly sunny Thursday with maybe a stray shower on a gentler breeze than we’ve seen lately. Thursday’s highs will be mostly in the mid 80s.

Friday will feature plenty of sun, a few clouds, and a quick shower in spots. Friday’s highs will be in the low to mid 80s.

Saturday’s forecast includes a mix of sun and clouds and a few showers. Highs on Saturday will be in the low to mid 80s.

She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
