Showers Return

Showers ReturnSouth Florida will be still be warm on Thursday, but some showers return. After early fog in spots, the day features a mix of sun and clouds, and we’ll see passing showers at times. A moderate risk of dangerous rip currents remains at the beaches of Miami-Dade and Broward. Highs on Thursday will be in the mid 80s.

 

Friday will start with a mix of sun and clouds, with a few showers thrown in. Then the front we’ve been watching moves in late in the late afternoon and during the evening, bringing clouds, showers, and some storms. Friday’s highs will be in the mid 80s.

It will be cloudy and rainy to start on Saturday, and then we’ll see clearing skies and cooler weather. Saturday’s highs will be in the upper 70s — but temperatures will drop during the afternoon.

Faith Based Events

Sunday will feature plenty of sun and a few clouds. But highs will struggle to reach the upper 60s.

Monday will bring lots of sun and a few clouds. Highs on Monday will be in the low 70s as our taste of winter continues.

Donna Thomas has studied hurricanes for two decades. She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
