sun, cloudsSouth Florida will see a mix of sun, clouds, and showers on Tuesday. After some early showers, Tuesday features passing showers at times and a mix of sun and clouds otherwise. A high risk of dangerous rip currents remains in place at the Atlantic beaches on Tuesday. Tuesday’s highs will be in the low 80s.

 

Wednesday will bring a mix of sun and clouds with a showers popping up at times. Wednesday’s highs will be in the low 80s.

Thursday will see a mix of sun and clouds with fewer showers than we’ve seen recently. Thursday’s highs will be in the low 80s.

Faith Based Events

Friday will feature more sun, some clouds, and a few showers in spots. Friday’s highs will be in the low 80s.

A mix of sun and clouds and some passing showers are in the forecast for Saturday as a front approaches. Highs on Saturday will be in the mid 80s.

In the tropics, that area of showers and storms in the eastern Atlantic is better organized and now has a medium chance of developing into a subtropical depression during the next few days.

Donna Thomas has studied hurricanes for two decades. She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
