South Florida is in an August Heat, Afternoon Storms Pattern

By Donna Thomas, SouthFloridaReporter.com Meteorologist, Aug 9, 2015 – Afternoon storms will be back in South Florida on another hot August Sunday. After a mostly dry morning on the mainland (but with plenty of showers in the Keys), look for building clouds, highs in the sticky low to mid 90s, and storms forming in the afternoon. Some areas could see periods of heavy rain.

Monday will be on the wet side as well, with some morning showers and plenty of afternoon storms. Highs will be in the low 90s. The rest of the workweek features muggy mornings, highs in the low 90s, and afternoon storms.
