Stick AroundShowers will stick around South Florida on a Wednesday that begins with quite a bit of fog, especially in the western suburbs. Then the day features a mix of clouds, showers, and periods of sun, with shower activity gradually tapering off during the evening hours. A moderate risk of dangerous rip currents is in place at the Atlantic beaches. Highs on Wednesday will be near 80 degrees.

Stick AroundThursday will bring a mix of sun and clouds with a few showers moving through at times. Thursday’s highs will be in the low 80s.

A front approaches on Friday, bringing clouds and showers to interrupt periods of sun. Friday’s highs will be in the low 80s.

Saturday will feature more sun, fewer clouds, and a few showers as cooler air moves in. Saturday’s highs will be in the mid 70s.

Faith Based Events

Look for plenty of sun and just a few clouds on Sunday as slightly cooler air seeps in. Highs on Sunday will be near 70 degrees.

Donna Thomas has studied hurricanes for two decades. She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
