Palm Beach Billionaire Koch Selling Off Millions In Wine! (Video)

PALM BEACH — Bill Koch, one of the billionaire Palm Beach Koch brothers, is continuing to sell off his many, many luxurious possessions.

This time, he’s unloading half of his wine collection.

Apparently, the billionaire has just realized he’s not going to be able to drink the more than 40,000 bottles in his collection.

Not even a drunk could manage that!

Koch told the naive New York Post:”When I started taking stock of all the bottles I said to myself, ‘Oh, my gosh, I have a lot.’”

Indeed.

More than 20,000 of his bottles will be sold by Sotheby’s during a three-day sale from May 19 to May 21.

As of today, Koch has one of the largest private wine collections in the country.

The auction is expected to fetch between $10.5 and $15 million.

It’s pretty clear, however, that Koch gave the New York tabloid an unlikely reason for the sale.

As Gossip Extra has been telling you for months, Koch has been selling off assets like never before as the price of energy, including Koch’s coal, has been tanking.

He recently sold a Picasso and a Monet that hung in his Palm Beach mansion for a total $100 million, and he’s offering huge discounts on the art he hasn’t been able to unload.

And he has unloaded at least two mansions in Palm Beach County (click here and here) over the past three months.

The notoriously private Koch must really want these bottles gone because even made a two-minute video for Sotheby’s that shows him walking through his Palm Beach wine cellar, showing off some of the bottles, including a 1953 Lafite-Rothschild.
