Good Sun and Maybe a Shower

Monday features mostly sunny skies and maybe a shower in spots on the mainland, while the Keys will see plenty of clouds, some sun, and a few showers.  Patchy early fog is possible along the Gulf Coast and in the interior.  Expect an elevated risk of dangerous rip currents along the Palm Beach County coast on Monday and throughout the workweek.  Highs on Monday will be mostly in the low-80s on the mainland and the upper-70s in the Keys.

Tuesday will bring mild morning lows in the 60s and good sun with a few clouds throughout the day.  Tuesday’s highs will be in the low-80s on the mainland and the upper-70s in the Keys.

Wednesday will feature another mild morning and lots of sun on the mainland.  The Keys will see a nice mix of sun and clouds.  Wednesday’s highs will be near 80 degrees on the mainland and in the upper 70s in the Keys.

Thursday will be a sunny and seasonably warm day around South Florida.  Thursday’s highs will be in the low-80s on the mainland and the upper-70s in the Keys.

Faith Based Events

Friday’s forecast calls for another sunny and pleasant February day.  Highs on Friday will be in the low-80s in the East Coast metro area, near 80 degrees along the Gulf Coast, and in the upper-70s in the Keys.

Donna Thomas has studied hurricanes for two decades. She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
