Clouds Showers Kickoff the Weekend

clouds showersSouth Florida will see clouds and showers on Friday. Some periods of sun will be in the mix, and highs will be in the low 80s on Friday.

While the breeze is gentler, a risk of dangerous rip currents remains at the Atlantic beaches and will increase to high levels again on Sunday.

A weak front moves through on Saturday, and clouds and showers will be the order of the day. Highs on Saturday will be in the upper 70s. Don’t forget to set your clocks back one hour for the start of standard time on Sunday.

As well as that extra hour of sleep, we’ll see clouds and showers on the building breeze, a high risk of dangerous rip currents at the Atlantic beaches, and highs in the upper 70s.

Monday will be breezy, with sun, clouds, and maybe a stray shower or two. Monday’s highs will be in the low 80s.

Breezy conditions and sun and clouds are in Tuesday’s forecast, and highs will be in the low 80s on election day.

That area of disturbed weather in the central Atlantic we’ve been watching now has virtually no chance of developing into a subtropical cyclone. Elsewhere, the tropics are quiet.

She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
