Another Fall Day Of Sun, Clouds And Some Showers

Fall DaySouth Florida will see another fall day of sun, clouds, and showers on Friday. Friday features a mix of sun and clouds with a few quick showers blowing through. Friday’s highs will be mostly in the mid 80s.

Fall DayWe’ll see a few more showers on Saturday, along with sun and clouds. With the full moon on Saturday and Sunday, coastal flooding at high tides is possible in some low-lying areas. Highs on Saturday will be in the mid 80s. And don’t forget to set your clocks back one hour late on Saturday as standard time begins early on Sunday — and enjoy the extra hour of sleep.

Sunday will bring periods of passing showers mixed in with sun and clouds. Sunday’s highs will be mostly in the mid 80s.

Monday will feature a mix of sun and clouds with maybe a stray shower. Monday’s highs will be in the low 80s.

Tuesday’s forecast includes sun, clouds, and a shower in spots. Highs on Tuesday will be in the low 80s.

The tropics remain quiet.

Donna Thomas has studied hurricanes for two decades. She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
