Saturday features hot sun, passing morning showers, and some afternoon storms in spots on the mainland as Saharan dust moves into South Florida.  Look for mostly sunny skies and a shower or two in the Keys.  Highs on Saturday will be near 90 degrees right along the Atlantic coast and in the Keys, while the rest of South Florida will reach the low 90s.

Sunday will bring mostly sunny skies with a few morning showers and some afternoon storms on the mainland.  The Keys will see more clouds than sun and periods of showers.  Sunday’s highs will be near 90 degrees on the mainland and in the upper 80s in the Keys.

Monday will feature morning showers and some afternoon storms alternating with sun and clouds in the east coast metro area.  The Gulf coast will see a mix of sun, clouds, and showers.  Look for mostly sunny skies in the Keys.  Monday’s highs will be mostly in the upper 80s.

Tuesday will see mostly sunny skies and periods of showers and storms on the mainland.  The Keys will see a mix of sun and clouds with maybe a stray shower.  Tuesday’s highs will be mostly in the low 90s on the mainland and in the upper 80s in the Keys.

Faith Based Events

Wednesday’s forecast calls for a summertime mix of sun, clouds, showers, and a few storms.  Highs on Wednesday will be in the low 90s on the mainland and the upper 80s in the Keys.

In the tropics, the area of disturbed weather in the northwestern Caribbean is moving into the Bay of Campeche.  While this feature has a low chance of developing, it is bringing heavy rain to the region.

She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
