CORAL SPRINGS — Authorities say they’ve just nabbed a former capo in the New England mafia in South Florida in connection with a 1993 murder!

Lake Worth resident RobertBobby The CigarDeLuca, 71, was picked up Monday morning in Coral Springs, according to Kristin Setera, a spokeswoman for the FBI office in Boston.

According to DeLuca’s indictment, DeLuca helped the boss of the New England Family of La Cosa Nostra, Francis P. Salemme and his son Francis P. Salemme, Jr., dispose of the body of Stephen DiSarro in 1993

DiSarro, a nightclub owner, was reported missing in May 1993, his body has never been found and no one was ever charged with his death.

According to the indictment, the Salemmes “participated in the murder” and arranged for DeLuca to dispose of the body in Providence, R.I.

DeLuca allegedly arranged to have the body buried.

Nearly two decades later, in 2011, DeLuca was arrested.

He denied any knowledge of the disappearance and suspected murder of DiSarro, but he initially agreed to cooperate with authorities to get a lighter sentence.

In 2014 he was sentenced to one day in prison (time served) for his cooperation.

However detectives now believe Bobby The Cigar was holding out on the Feds.

He’s now facing additional charges for allegedly lying to authorities, obstructing justice and providing false statements.
