Building off the resounding success of the XC90 SUV and following the recent debut of the S90 sedan is the 3rd vehicle in the top-of-the-line 90-series range, the all-new 2018 Volvo V90 wagon.
Ostensibly replacing the midsize V70 which disappeared following the 2010 model year, Volvo is resuscitating their wagon credentials. A lifted and more off-road ready V90 Cross Country will also be offered.

Available in front and all-wheel drive featuring a trio of efficiency-minded Volvo Drive-E powertrains, the V90 has been engineered with a focus on driving dynamics, promising “a totally new and refined driving experience characterized by a sense of engaging control and predictability.”
At the heart is a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine which, depending on trim can also be fortified with a supercharger or also a electric motor in the V90 T8 Twin Engine gas plug-in hybrid which delivers around 400 horsepower and over 30 miles of pure electric range.
According to Volvo, this modern luxury wagon combines the sophisticated ambience of their new interiors with great cargo space. The new V90 delivers cutting-edge Pilot Assist semi-autonomous drive technology, the most advanced standard safety package on the market, with large animal detection and run-off road mitigation, and class-leading connectivity including smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay.
Pricing will likely start at around $50,000
