Tonight: An Evening of Prayer Honors Victims of Ft. Lauderdale Airport Shooting

Church United, a collaborative unity movement comprised of dozens of churches from various denominations responded to the January 6, Fort Lauderdale airport shooting in a powerful way.

Over 25 area churches rallied together to raise the funds needed to pay all out-of-pocket medical expenses for the 54 patients treated in Broward County as a result of the shooting.

On Friday, February 24, congregations from Tri-County churches will gather for an evening of prayer and worship. The event will feature singer/songwriter Jason Upton.

Prior to the shooting response, Church United lead an effort called Love South Florida where over 45 churches came together. Collectively these churches raised over $200,000 for community non- profits, collected over 50,000 pounds of food for local food pantries, and logged over 20,000 of community service hours.
