Sunny and Pleasant Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving Day features plenty of sun and a few clouds, making for a pleasant day.  Early fog is possible near the Gulf Coast and in the interior.  A moderate risk of dangerous rip currents remains along the Palm Beach County coast.  Highs on Thursday will be mostly in the mid-80s in the East Coast metro area and near 80 degrees along the Gulf Coast and in the Keys.

Friday will bring sunny skies around South Florida, so you won’t be dodging any raindrops if you go bargain hunting.  Friday’s highs will be in the mid-80s in the East Coast metro area, near 80 degrees along the Gulf Coast, and mostly in the upper 70s in the Keys — but look for a weak front to move in overnight.

Saturday will feature a nice mix of sun and clouds on the mainland and sunny skies in the Keys. Saturday’s highs will be mostly in the low 80s in the East Coast metro area and in the mid-70s along the Gulf Coast and in the Keys.

Sunday will be mostly sunny in the East Coast metro area, while the Gulf Coast and the Keys will see lots of sun.  Sunday’s highs will be in the upper 70s in the East Coast metro area and the mid-70s along the Gulf Coast and in the Keys — but a stronger front will move in during the evening.

Faith Based Events

Monday’s forecast calls for a very cool morning, with lows in the 50s on the mainland.  The day will be sunny but cool.  Highs on Monday will be in the low 70s in the East Coast metro area and the Keys and near 70 degrees along the Gulf Coast.

And we’re all thankful that the tropical Atlantic is quiet.

She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
