Not that we need to feel bad for the man who’s got everything, but singer Julio Iglesias is having a hell of a time unloading his properties in uber-rich Indian Creek.
The 72-year-old crooner had to pull one of his vacant pieces of land on Indian Creek Island Road off the market this week after it failed to generate enough interest from buyers.
The 1.8-acre lot owned by a Virgin Islands company controlled by the singer was on the market for a whopping $30.5 million!
Bear in mind: The lot has nothing on it except for grass, and a decent view of downtown Miami!
But it’s in Indian Creek, a total 46 homes built around a world-class golf course with a total population of 86 multi-millionaires.
Enrique’s dad, the singer of All The Girls I’ve Loved Before, has been spending an increasing amount of time in the Dominican Republic while trying to make a buck or two in Miami area realty.
Records show he bought the lot from Russians in 2014 for $21.6 million.
“We unlisted it today (Friday) but if someone comes to my office with an offer close to the asking price, I’ll bring it to my client,” said Russell King, the attorney who represents the seller.
Iglesias hasn’t had the best of luck in Indian Creek real estate. He’s been trying to sell the lot next door, which is also vacant, since 2005!
And when you see the melodious mess below that Iglesias did with Willie Nelson in 1975, it sorta of makes you wonder how Julio got this rich:
