By Terri Lynn, SouthFloridaReporter.com, Sound Bites Editor, Aug 1, 2015 – The highly anticipated 14th Annual Miami Spice Restaurant Program, runs August 1 through September 30 featuring dining deals galore on specially created three-course lunch and dinner menus.
Lunches at some of Miami’s most dazzling dining establishments are priced at $23 per person and dinner priced at $39 per person. (Note: The reduced pricing does not include tax and gratuity.)
Miami Spice gives foodies, regular folks and visitors to the area an opportunity to experience the cuisine and the ambience of restaurants they have heard about without “breaking the bank.”
According to Miami Spice organizers “nearly 200 local restaurants, including 53 new participants” are taking part in the culinary marathon. Some of the restaurants welcome Miami Spice diners with open arms. Others will only offer the special menu when specifically requested. Will waiters sneer? Not sure, you’ll have to let us know.
One restaurant wholeheartedly embracing Miami Spice is The Trapiche Room located on the second floor of the JW Marriott Miami on Brickell Avenue.
We had the opportunity of experiencing Executive Chef Alex Paz’s remarkable Miami Spice offerings earlier this week at his preview dinner and all we can say is WOW!
Chef Paz really gave thought to his entire menu delighting the senses on a multitude of levels. His passion for cooking, as well as his personality, is in every morsel on the every plate. Take a look at Paz’s take on key lime pie or as we like to call it “Not Your Grandmother’s Key Lime Pie.”
Miami Spice 2015 is here. There are lots of choices in the next two months and not enough days to try them all. The Trapiche Room should be in your Top 5.
