Some Showers On A Strong Breeze Today

South Florida will see some showers on a strong ocean breeze on Wednesday. After overnight showers along the east coast, Wednesday will feature some sun with clouds and periods of showers on the brisk breeze. An afternoon storm is possible in Miami-Dade and Broward. A high risk of dangerous rip currents remains in place at the Atlantic beaches on Wednesday at least through Friday evening. Highs on Wednesday will be in the low 80s right along the east coast and the mid 80s elsewhere in South Florida.

Thursday will bring some early showers and morning lows mostly in the low 70s. Then we’ll see sun, clouds, and a few passing showers. Thursday’s highs will be in the mid 80s in east coast metro areas and the upper 80s elsewhere.

Friday will feature good sun and some clouds, with maybe a few east coast showers. Friday’s highs will be in the mid to upper 80s.

Saturday will bring a mix of sun, clouds, and showers. Saturday’s highs will be in the mid to upper 80s.

Faith Based Events

Look for some sun and more clouds, showers, and storms on Sunday. Highs on Sunday will be mostly in the mid 80s.

She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
