Some Showers

South Florida’s weather will feature some showers but more sun on Tuesday. After a warm morning with a few east coast and Keys showers, Tuesday will bring good sun and some clouds. Some afternoon showers will be around in the east coast metro suburbs and points west. Highs on Tuesday will be in the mid to upper 80s in Miami-Dade and Broward and the upper 80s along the Gulf coast and in the interior.

Wednesday morning lows will be mostly in the low 70s, and the day will feature good sun and some clouds on the driest day of the week. Wednesday’s highs will be in the mid 80s right along the east coast and the upper 80s elsewhere.

Some showers will be around on Thursday, starting another stretch of wetter weather. Thursday’s highs will be in the mid to upper 80s.

Friday will feature sun, clouds, and afternoon showers and storms. Friday’s highs will be in the mid to upper 80s.

Saturday’s forecast includes sun, clouds, and some afternoon showers and storms. Highs on Saturday will be in the mid to upper 80s.

Donna Thomas has studied hurricanes for two decades. She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
