The Queen is hiring!
Queen Elizabeth II is looking for an “innovative,” social media savvy expert to lead the digital engagement team at Buckingham Palace, according to a job ad posted on the official website of the British Monarchy.
“It’s about never standing still and finding new ways to maintain The Queen’s presence in the public eye and on the world stage,” the job description states.
The permanent position calls for 37.5 hours of work per week and boasts a salary of 45,000 – 50,000 pounds – or $65,000 – $72,000 – a year.
As if a chance to tweet for the Queen wasn’t enough, the position includes a benefit package promising 33 days of annual leave (that includes bank holidays) and free lunch.
