Showers Move Through On A Strong Breeze

Strong BreezeSouth Florida will see plenty of showers move through on a strong breeze on Friday. The day will begin with muggy conditions and passing showers, and then Friday will feature a mix of sun, clouds, and gusty showers at times. A high risk of dangerous rip currents remains in place at the Atlantic beaches at least through Friday. Friday’s highs will be in the upper 80s, with some western suburbs making it into the low 90s.

Strong BreezeSaturday will see the same pattern continue — a mix of sun and clouds and passing showers on an ocean breeze. Highs on Saturday will be near the 90 degree mark.

Sunday will be another day of sun, clouds, and passing showers. Sunday’s highs will be mostly in the upper 80s, with slightly higher readings well inland.

Some storms are in the mix on Monday, along with the usual fare of sun, clouds, and quick showers. Highs on Monday will be in the low 90s.

Faith Based Events

Tuesday will bring a mix of showers, storms, sun, and clouds. Highs on Tuesday will be in the summer-like low 90s.

Donna Thomas has studied hurricanes for two decades. She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
