Saturday features a mix of sun, clouds, periods of showers, and some mainly afternoon and early evening storms.  Heavy rain is possible in spots.  Highs on Saturday will be in the upper 80s right at the Atlantic coast and in the Keys, while the rest of South Florida will top out in the low 90s.

Sunday will bring sun, clouds, and periods of showers and storms to the mainland.  Look for sun, clouds, and a few showers in the Keys.  Sunday’s highs will be near 90 degrees on the mainland and in the upper 80s in the Keys.

Memorial Day will feature a rainy season mix of sun, clouds, showers, and storms at times in the east coast metro area.  The Gulf coast and the Keys will be mostly sunny with afternoon and early evening showers.  Monday’s highs will be near 90 degrees on the mainland and in the upper 80s in the Keys.

Tuesday will continue our pattern of hot sun and mainly afternoon and early evening showers and storms on the mainland.  Look for mostly sunny skies and maybe a shower in the Keys.  Tuesday’s highs will be in the low 90s on the mainland and the upper 80s in the Keys.

Faith Based Events

Wednesday’s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies around South Florida, with periods of showers and storms as well on the mainland.  Highs on Wednesday will be mostly in the low 90s on the mainland and in the upper 80s in the Keys.

Donna Thomas has studied hurricanes for two decades. She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
