Rain Forecast As Front Moves Through Later Today

frontRain is on the way to South Florida as a front moves in late on Thursday. In the meantime, the day features a mix of sun and clouds, with breezes building in the afternoon. Highs on Thursday will be in the mid 80s. Then look for showers (and maybe a stray storm) starting late in the afternoon and into the evening.

 

frontShowers will linger on Friday, and gusty winds will develop. The risk of dangerous rip currents at the Atlantic beaches will increase rapidly to high levels on Friday and remain high during the weekend. Friday’s highs will be near 80 degrees.

Saturday will be breezy, with clouds around and passing showers at times. Highs on Saturday will be in the upper 70s.

Faith Based Events

Look for another day of clouds and showers on Sunday. Sunday’s highs will be in the upper 70s.

Monday will bring good sun (just in time for the workweek) and a few clouds. Highs on Monday will be near 80 degrees.

She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
