The once smooth crooner Paul Anka has some pretty tough words for the Palm Beach charity who hired him to play their annual gala at Mar-a-Lago, but changed the venue and the date, after Donald Trump‘s unbelievable reaction to the violence in Charlottesville.
“Eat it!”
That’s right, the 76-year-old musician who wrote Frank Sinatra‘s hit My Way, has told the organizers of the LIFE (Leaders In Furthering Education) Lady in Red Gala that he was contracted to play on Dec. 2 at Trump’s club and if they change the date, that’s their problem.
He’s not playing on the new date and they’re not getting their $75,000 deposit back.
Remember Anka is a friend of Trump’s and had planned to sing his classic song at Trump’s inauguration, but pulled out a day later citing family problems.
