Is Menopause Misery a “Disease”?

September may be “Menopause Awareness Month”, but at DzLogic, a leader in Restorative Medicine, they are always aware of menopause. Menopause, and its associated symptoms, is a direct result of the hormonal decline and imbalances that come with “normal” aging in women. In men, this same process is called Andropause.

The word “menopause” literally means the “end of monthly cycles.” Menopause is marked by the permanent cessation of ovarian function, usually beginning around the age of 50. No two women are alike. There is no steadfast rule or formula telling how or when menopause will affect each individual.

First thing’s first. Menopause is an unavoidable stage in every woman’s life. Menopause itself requires no medical treatment. It’s the symptoms that need medical assistance.

Sergey Dzugan, MD, PhD., founder of DzLogic

“Almost every woman on the planet experiences some, if not all, of the symptoms associated with menopause – hot flashes, night sweats, loss of libido, brain fog and more. Shifting our thinking to prevention & restoration vs. conventional medicine’s “symptom treatment” model can alleviate all those,” said Sergey Dzugan, MD, PhD., founder of DzLogic and a world-renowned expert in body chemistry optimization and the natural treatment of physiologic diseases.

Hormone deficiency and imbalances are at the center of what Dr. Dzugan calls the “acquired errors of body chemistry” that are the root cause of nearly all age-related disease.

“Menopause and andropause result in the accelerated aging of our bodies and the onset of many disease states. Conventional medicine says, “you’re just getting older – that’s just the way it is. Restorative Medicine says you can do better than that,” Dzugan added.
