
Habitat for Humanity of Broward has named Marcia Barry-Smith the new Director of Community Outreach and Program Services. Barry-Smith’s background includes over 30 years of banking experience, serving as Senior Vice President of BankAtlantic and President & CEO of MBS Consulting Services.
“We are thrilled to have the benefit of Marcia Barry-Smith’s knowledge and influence,” said Nancy Robin, Habitat Broward’s CEO & Executive Director. “She will be instrumental in fostering partnerships and creating an infrastructure that will allow us to help more at a time when the need has never been greater.”
Additionally, Barry-Smith has placed over 120 formerly homeless families into homeownership through her nationally acclaimed program Homeless to Homeowner (H2H).
Among her many achievements, she has received the 2014 Mental Health Association EPIC Award and the 2012 Community Activist by the Broward Black Elected Officials.
