It looks like Dwyane Wade’s custody battle is finally settling down, but not before it got a little uglier!

A Florida judge gave former Miami Heat star Wade permission this week to move his young sons Zaire and Zion to, from Miami.

Despite the protests of Wade’s ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches, the judge presiding over the case said “there is no good cause not to permit relocation.”

According to the new custody agreement, the Atlanta-based Funches will now have to travel to Chicago instead of Miami to see the children.

Faith Based Events

Wade and Funches finalized their divorce in 2010, and the split hasn’t been exactly amicable despite having been high-school sweethearts.

At one point, Wade had Funches arrested for allegedly attempting to take custody of their kids without permission. Funches has replied in kind, claiming that Wade gave her an STD and that the NBA superstar is a bad father.

The judge involved ultimately sided with Wade by saying that Funches “embarked on an unstoppable and relentless pattern of conduct for over two years to alienate the children from their father.”

Let’s hope that things settle down for Wade and Funches in their personal lives. Custody disputes can bring out the worst in the best of us and Wade needs to focus on getting settled into his new team!
