Everyone can be affected by stress, many factors can contribute to it and your living environment can definitely help reduce it or do just the opposite. Buzz60’s Maria Mercedes Galuppo has more.
With April being Stress Awareness Month and American stress levels on the rise since 2016, the personal-finance website WalletHub released its report on 2018’s Most & Least Stressed States.
To determine the states with the highest stress levels, WalletHub compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across 38 key metrics. The data set ranges from average hours worked per week to personal bankruptcy rate to share of adults getting adequate sleep.
Stress Levels in Florida (1=Most Stressed, 25=Avg.):
- 26th – Avg. Hours Worked per Week
- 22nd – Share of Adults Getting Adequate Sleep
- 13th – % of Adults in Fair/Poor Health
- 47th – Job Security
- 16th – Median Credit Score
- 6th – Housing Affordability
- 17th – % of Population Living Below Poverty Line
- 4th – Divorce Rate
- 17th – Crime Rate per Capita
- 6th – Psychologists per Capita
