The hottest toy this season is Hatchimals. I can verify this, having searched all over the web, called local retailers and asked in person. SOLD OUT was what everyone said. “People are lined up an hour before we open,” Target employees told me.
The suggested price for these cute robotic toys – $49.99. On Amazon and Ebay, as examples, the cost is 4 times that or more.

And then, the worst toys list. The non-profit W.A.T.C.H. (World Against Toys Causing Harm) released their list of the 10 worst toys this holiday season. Near the top of the list – Slime Ball.
This year’s toy report, announced by Consumer Advocates Joan E. Siff, President of W.A.T.C.H., and James A. Swartz, a nationally known trial attorney and Director of W.A.T.C.H., demonstrated the types of toy hazards available online and in retail stores so parents know what traps to avoid when buying toys. The conference highlighted toys with inconsistent and inadequate warnings, cautions and age recommendations as well as other classic safety hazards that continue to reappear year after year.
