Thursday features hot sun and mainly afternoon showers and a few storms in spots on the mainland.  Look for lots of sun and maybe a stray shower in the Keys.  Highs on Thursday will be in the low 90s in the east coast metro area, near 90 degrees along the Gulf coast, and in the upper 80s in the Keys — but it will feel at least 10 degrees hotter, so stay hydrated and out of the sun.

Friday will bring mostly sunny skies around South Florida, with some early storms and afternoon showers in the east coast metro area and morning showers and afternoon storms along the Gulf coast.  Friday’s highs will be in the low 90s in the east coast metro area and the upper 80s along the Gulf coast and in the Keys.

Saturday will feature lots of hot sun in the morning and periods of showers and storms in the afternoon.  Saturday’s highs will be in the low 90s on the mainland and the upper 80s in the Keys.

Sunday will be mostly sunny with periods of showers and storms in the east coast metro area and the Keys, while the Gulf coast will see a sunny morning and some showers in the afternoon.  Sunday’s highs will be in the upper 80s in the east coast metro area and the Keys and in the low 90s along the Gulf coast.

Faith Based Events

The Memorial Day forecast calls for a mix of sun, clouds, showers, and storms on the mainland.  Look for lots of sun in the Keys.  Highs on Monday will be in the low 90s on the mainland and the upper 80s in the Keys.

She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
