
South Florida will feel the hot breeze on Thursday. We’ll see only a stray shower and maybe an inland storm on Thursday, and highs will be in the low 90s but feeling well over 100 degrees.
The oppressive heat continues on Friday, with highs in the sticky low 90s and just a stray shower or an isolated inland storm to bring relief.
A few more early showers and the chance of an inland afternoon storm are in the forecast for the weekend. Highs will be in the low 90s on Saturday and Sunday.
Monday will bring some early showers on the breeze, with possibly an afternoon storm and highs in the low 90s.
In the tropics, we’re watching a strong wave that has emerged off the African coast. The National Hurricane Center gives it a medium chance of developing into a depression over the next 5 days as it moves into the central Atlantic.
