Head and Shoulders is jumping flake first into Dandruff Gate sending French President Macron some of its product. Nathan Rousseau Smith has the story.

Head & Shoulders, the maker of anti-dandruff shampoos, has a gift for French President Emmanuel Macron.

The company posted a tweet on Wednesday, showing a box packed with anti-dandruff shampoo addressed to the French embassy in Washington.

“Whether you’re meeting the President or on your first date, we believe everyone should be 100% flake-free,” the tweet says.

Faith Based Events

The post is a reference to an exchange between President Trump and Macron on Tuesday, when the U.S. leader briefly paused during comments to reporters to brush what he said was dandruff off his French counterpart’s shoulder.

“We have to make him perfect. He is perfect,” Trump said.

As Trump brushed the lapel of Macron’s suit, the French president stood silently, smiling and appearing as if he was on the verge of laughter.
