Florida Consortium of Public Charter Schools Launches Charter School Champion Awards

The Florida Consortium of Public Charter Schools (FCPCS) is accepting nominations for its statewide 2016 Florida Charter School Champion Awards.

For the fifth consecutive year, FCPCS is encouraging Floridians to nominate their favorite charter school teacher, principal, board member, legislator, pioneer or vendor partner. This year’s honorees will be announced on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016 at an awards event held as part of the Florida Charter School Conference in Daytona Beach.

Nominations can be completed on line at the following web page: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/FCPCSChamps, which includes space for a brief description of why a potential Champion is being nominated. The deadline to submit nominations is Monday, Oct. 10, 2016.

Specific categories for nominations are: State Legislator, Charter School Pioneer, District School Board Member, Charter School Governing Board Member, Principal/School-Based Administrator, Teacher, and Preferred Partner.

Faith Based Events

Designated winners must be present on November 3 at the Charter School Champion Awards event, scheduled from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Ocean Center, Daytona Beach. The nominators of the winners will be notified in advance.

“The Florida Charter School Champion Awards recognize exceptional individuals and companies who represent the very best aspects of the charter school movement,” said FCPCS President Robert Haag. “The awards ceremony is a huge celebration of their achievements and success.”
