MIAMI — Kerfuffle at the Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis black-tie fundraiser at the Bal Harbour Shops the other day.
After the well-heeled crowd was serenaded by Pitbull, an altercation between high-profile realtor Kevin Tomlinson and the husband of competitor Jill Eber of The Jills real estate firm marred the otherwise silk-smooth shindig.
It took three police officers to break it up, but no one was arrested because police did not witness the incident.
A report filed with Bal Harbour Police shows Tomlinson was by the Prada store with his date, socialite Trudy Courey, when the couple was approached by Seth Nachman, 52, Eber’s husband.
Tomlinson, 48, told police Nachman grabbed one of his hands in an extra-firm handshake and threatened to “get him.”
“He had this crazed look in his eyes,” Tomlinson said. “He was grabbing my hand real hard and kept saying ‘we’re friends, right, we’re good friends now, right.’
“Then he grabbed my other arm. I kept backing up until I bumped against the koi pound but he kept talking.”
At one point, Tomlinson said, Nachman told him he regret going after The Jills in a Miami Association of Realtors complaint.
While Courey tried to intervene, according to the report, Nachman allegedly pushed her back “roughly” and stepped on her foot. She screamed “help!” until police on-duty at the mall materialized.
Tomlinson and Eber along with her business partner Jill Hertzberg have quite a history.[/vc_column_text][vc_btn title=”More on the black-tie tussle” style=”outline” color=”primary” size=”lg” align=”left” link=”url:http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gossipextra.com%2F2016%2F03%2F14%2Ffeud-between-realtors-spills-into-black-tie-gala-miami-5752%2F|title:More%20on%20the%20black-tie%20tussle|target:%20_blank”][vc_message message_box_style=”3d” message_box_color=”turquoise”]
