Enjoy Today’s Nice Weather It’ll Change Over The Weekend

weatherSouth Florida’s weather will be mostly nice today, but some changes are on the way late in the weekend. After a mild Friday morning, look for good sun and a few clouds. A shower or storm is possible as a sea breeze sets up in the afternoon, but most of the activity should be well inland. Highs on Friday will be in the low 80s.

Saturday features a mix of sun and clouds, and we could see a few scattered afternoon and evening showers. Saturday’s highs will be in the low 80s. Don’t forget to set your clocks forward one hour on Saturday night, because Daylight Saving Time begins early Sunday morning.

Besides one hour less sleep, Sunday will bring a mix of sun and clouds, with some late showers in spots. Building breezes will bring an elevated risk of dangerous rip currents at the Atlantic beaches on Sunday. Highs on Sunday will be near 80 degrees.

A front approaches on Monday, and we’ll see clouds and showers, with late storms developing. Highs on Monday will be in the upper 70s.

Faith Based Events

Cooler and drier air settles in on Tuesday, and skies will clear. Highs on Tuesday will be in the mid 70s.

She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
