WE Documentary Wins Prestigious ADDY® Award

As award seasons are celebrated across the country honoring and acknowledging achievements in all forms of art, the AAF Greater Fort Lauderdale & the Palm Beaches annual ADDY® Awards honored their industry’s best on Thursday, March 2.

To properly honor the WE documentary at the ADDY® awards, the judging committee decided to reinstate a special award rarely given within the last decade, the Judges Choice Award.

“Judges Choice Award”

In 2015, Broward County celebrated its year-long Broward 100 centennial and ended it with an extraordinary endeavor, a Broadway-style show of community riches called “WE- The Passion and Rhythm of the People.”

Faith Based Events

Frank Linero and Scott Pringle, partners at LP Media, along with their production team, followed the year long journey ultimately capturing it within a 45-minute, behind the scenes documentary film.

LP Media received the special “Judges Choice Award” for their extraordinary endeavor, capturing, editing and producing the film, “WE-The Passion and Rhythm of the People.”

“WE- The Passion and Rhythm of the People”

Under the leadership of Earl Bosworth, Director of the Broward Cultural Division, Broadway director, Cirque Dreams founder and longtime South Florida resident, Neil Goldberg, led the charge of thousands of local auditions and ultimately composed, produced and directed the stage production of WE to rave reviews at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in October, 2015.

The ADDY®

The mission of the American Advertising Awards competition is to recognize and reward the creative spirit of excellence in the art of advertising. The ADDY® awards are the advertising industry’s largest and most prestigious competition.
