Costco is Nuts for Nutella and Debuts Their Own Cheaper Brand (Video)

Costco now has a store-branded hazelnut spread for all your off-brand Nutella needs. Tony Spitz has the details.

It’s hard to replicate something as wonderful as Nutella, but Costco is adding its name to the list of companies who’ve tried — and their price point will appeal to any hazelnut fan.

A Reddit user pointed out the jumbo jars’ existence Sunday, posting a glorious photo of two 2.2-pound jars of Kirkland Signature Hazelnut Spread on sale for just $7.99. That’s nearly five pounds of chocolate hazelnut goodness, or 54 two-tablespoon servings (if you have that kind of restraint).

The spread is available on Costco’s website, though a two-pack sells for $9.99 online. Still a pretty good deal, considering Costco’s twin-pack of Nutella (which is slightly smaller, by a few ounces) sells for $13.99.

On Amazon, that much Nutella will cost you between $17 and $24. If you check your local Costco, you may see it for the sale price shown on Reddit.
