Florida Faces Above-Average Temperatures And Repeated Rainstorms As AccuWeather Releases Official November Forecast (Video)

A taste of winter may be hard to find across much of the eastern United States this November, according to AccuWeather expert meteorologists, who forecast temperatures above historical averages, repeated rainstorms, and limited early-season snowfall.

“Much of the eastern United States could face repeated rainstorms and a delayed arrival of any early season winter conditions this November, while western ski resorts benefit from early-season mountain snow. Above average temperatures are expected to limit snowfall across the Great Lakes and Northeast for much of the month, with colder air potentially returning around Thanksgiving,” said AccuWeather expert meteorologist Chad Merrill.

November Forecast Highlights

Faith Based Events
  • Early-season cold and snow limited across much of the East: Temperatures are forecast to average 1-2 degrees above the historical average across large portions of the northern and eastern U.S.
  • Repeated storms raise flooding concerns: Storms could bring heavy rainfall and flooding from the Plains into the Southeast and East Coast during the first week of November
  • Coastal communities face additional impacts: A developing coastal storm could enhance rainfall, wind, and beach erosion along the mid-Atlantic coast
  • Thanksgiving weekend could bring a taste of winter: Colder air could bring flurries or snow to parts of the Great Lakes and Northeast
  • Western Ski resorts benefit from mountain snow: Multiple opportunities for high-elevation snowfall are forecast across the Sierra and Rocky Mountains during November
  • Rain brings chance for drought improvement: Additional precipitation could improve drought conditions across the Carolinas, parts of the mid-Atlantic, the Northwest, and portions of the South
  • Southern California coastal flooding remains a concern: Coastal flooding is expected to continue into November, with some of the highest coastal water levels of the season forecast to occur around November 25

While individual storms could bring heavy rainfall to parts of the East, monthly precipitation totals are forecast below historical averages across portions of the northern Plains, Great Lakes, and Northeast.
