In 2017, the Better Business Bureau serving Southeast Florida and the Caribbean (BBB) processed an average of 3,000 consumer complaints a month. Although the BBB processes complaints for hundreds of different industries in South Florida, there are 10 types of businesses that received the majority of the complaints in the last 12 months.
By releasing this information the BBB wants to encourage consumers to exercise due
diligence before doing business with these industries. Sometimes something as easy
as reading the fine print can make the difference between a pleasant and unpleasant
business transaction thus avoiding having to file a complaint against a business.
