Clouds on a Gusty Breeze; Watching The Tropics

Monday features plenty of clouds on a gusty breeze.  The East Coast metro area will also see some showers at times.  A high risk of dangerous rip currents remains at the Atlantic beaches through at least Monday evening.  Highs on Monday will be in the mid 80s.

Tuesday will bring a mix of sun and clouds and breezy conditions.  Look for a few afternoon showers in the East Coast metro area.  Tuesday’s highs will be in the mid-80s.

Wednesday will be breezy, with clouds and showers in the East Coast metro area and the Keys and plenty of sun along the Gulf Coast.  Wednesday’s highs will be in the mid-80s.

Halloween will feature lots of sun with a few clouds at times.  Look for a few showers on a brisk breeze in the East Coast metro area.  The evening will be spooky with a few East Coast showers.  Thursday’s highs will be in the mid-80s.

Faith Based Events

Friday’s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies and a few showers in the East Coast metro area, while the Gulf Coast will be sunny.  The Keys will see plenty of clouds and showers in spots.  Highs on Friday will be in the mid-80s again.

In the tropics, we’re keeping an eye on the southwestern Caribbean, where an area of low pressure is forecast to form in a few days and drift slowly to the north or northeast.  As of Sunday night, the National Hurricane Center gives this feature a medium chance of becoming a depression by the weekend.

She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
