Clouds and Showers on a Gusty Breeze

Sunday features plenty of clouds, a gusty breeze, and periods of showers.  Some afternoon and evening storms are possible in the East Coast metro area.  A high risk of dangerous rip currents remains at the Atlantic beaches through Sunday evening.  Highs on Sunday will be mostly in the upper-70s, with a few locations reaching the 80-degree mark.

Monday will bring mostly sunny skies around South Florida, but the east coast metro area will also see a few afternoon showers.  Monday’s highs will be in the low-80s in the East Coast metro area and the upper-70s along the Gulf Coast and in the Keys.

Tuesday will feature plenty of sun and a few clouds at times.  Look for clear skies on New Year’s Eve and mild temperatures at midnight.  Tuesday’s highs will be in the low-80s in the East Coast metro area and the upper-70s along the Gulf Coast and the Keys.

New Year’s Day will be mostly sunny in the East Coast metro area and the Keys.  Look for lots of sun along the Gulf Coast as a front moves through.  Wednesday’s highs will be near 80 degrees in the East Coast metro area and mostly in the mid-70s along the Gulf Coast and the Keys — but temperatures will drop quite quickly in the evening hours.

Faith Based Events

Thursday’s forecast calls for a chilly morning, with lows in the low to mid-50s on the mainland and the low-60s in the Keys.  Then look for plenty of sun and a few clouds.  Highs on Thursday will be in the mid-70s in the East Coast metro area and near-70 degrees along the Gulf Coast and the Keys.

She holds a PhD in history when her experience with Hurricane Andrew ultimately led her to earn a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Donna spent 15 years at WFOR-TV (CBS4 in Miami-Fort Lauderdale), where she worked as a weather producer with hurricane experts Bryan Norcross and David Bernard. She also produced hurricane specials and weather-related features and news coverage, as well as serving as pool TV producer at the National Hurricane Center during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Donna also served as a researcher on NOAA's Atlantic Hurricane Database Reanalysis Project. Donna specializes in Florida's hurricane history.
