Breezy Start, Windy Finish

windy

image5Tuesday in South Florida will begin on the breezy side but end downright windy. The day features some passing showers along the east coast, sun and clouds along the Gulf coast, a building ocean breeze that’s creating a moderate risk of dangerous rip currents at the Atlantic beaches, and highs mostly in the mid 80s.

windyWednesday morning lows will be in the mid 70s along the east coast and the upper 60s in suburban Miami-Dade and along the Gulf coast. Periods of showers will be in the forecast during the day on Wednesday, especially in Miami-Dade and Broward, and the day will be windy. Look for an increasing risk of dangerous rip currents at the Atlantic beaches on Wednesday through the end of the workweek. Wednesday’s highs will be in the mid 80s.

A weak front will make its way into South Florida on Thursday, and along with it will come passing showers and a northwest breeze.

Friday will be breezy again, and some showers will be around. Friday’s highs will be in the low to mid 80s.

Saturday features sun and clouds, maybe a quick early shower along the east coast and in the Keys, and highs in the low to mid 80s.

We’ll continue to watch the tropics until hurricane season ends, but right now, the tropics are quiet.
